PGA WELCOMES RELEASE OF INDONESIAN IMPORT PERMITS

PGA President Rob Gillam has welcomed today’s announcement by the Indonesian Government of the release of import permits that will allow 180,000 head of cattle to come from Australia following the lifting of the suspension by Minister Ludwig on Wednesday.
“This is a tremendous announcement by the Indonesian Government and the only thing left now is to ensure that the export companies will be able to quickly get their export permits, protocols and vessels in place so the trade can resume,’ Mr Gillam said.
“We commend the Indonesian Government for responding so quickly in reinstating the permits.”
