With the PGA Convention only a week away, I urge all members and others involved in our industry to come along to this very important annual industry event.

You will have the opportunity to hear from your Minister for Agriculture the Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC and have the opportunity to ask questions of the Minister.

The Keynote Address will be presented by marketing consultant and political strategist Toby Ralph Toby, who specialises in marketing communications, research, strategy reviews and crisis, particularly if it involves politics. Toby has run advertising agencies, sits on a range of small boards, and worked on over fifty elections across four continents, including all federal campaigns for John Howard. Toby has consulted in 60 countries from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.  He is a regular guest on Gruen Planet, The Project, The 7.30 Report, Today Tonight, Media Watch, 4 Corners, Q&A, The Drum, 2GB, Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise. He has been the subject of a WikiLeak, topped The Power Index’s ‘Five (relatively) unknown people running Australia’, and was included in the inaugural BRW Power List as one of the fifty most influential people in Australian business.

The Live Export Panel will then follow with representatives from live export companies LSS, Emanuel Exporters and Harmony; LRTAWA President Andy Jacob;  solicitor and partner Nick Staggs from Lavan; and Senator Slade Brockman.

Following morning tea will be an opportunity to hear from a Panel of Speakers on the 10 Years post Grain Deregulation, including Richard Vincent from MarketAg, Tony Smith from Plum Grove and John Snooke grain producer from Cunderdin.
