WELLARD - Pakistan Live Exports

Recent events in Pakistan where a shipment of live sheep were confiscated by the Pakistani Government and brutally culled has led to ABC Four Corners producing another expose on the live export trade called Another Bloody Business, which will air tonight.
Various groups opposed to the live export trade have made false and misleading statements regarding what actually occurred, including that Pakistan was not approved to take Australian sheep, nor has Pakistan ever been a traditional market for our sheep.
Attached below are links to a video as well as a statement from the Managing Director of the export company involved, outlining the facts about what really happened in Pakistan, and the efforts that the live export trade made to ensure that the animals would be slaughtered humanely in accordance with the new ESCAS system.
