NEW PRIVATE INVESTMENT INTEREST IN REGIONAL WA

2009-04-01

Pastoralists and Graziers’ Association president Rob Gillam has welcomed the prospect of  private, long term investment in regional infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.

Palisade Investment Partners, headed by former Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile were in Perth this week for talks with the PGA to identify long term investment prospects to boost regional infrastructure throughout WA.

“Palisade’s interest in investing in WA will provide long term benefits to our rural communities and industries with out burdening Local and State Governments,” Mr Gillam said.

“Their investment criteria covering security of food supply, renewable energy and preserving water resources fit with many prospects in WA which require the development of new regional infrastructure.”

“PGA will be cooperating with them wherever possible to identify suitable opportunities and to assist in bringing development projects on-line.”
