Australia Day Honours for PGA Members

2019-01-29

Three long-time members of the Pastoralists & Graziers Association of WA (PGA) have been recognised in this year’s Australia Day Honours List.

PGA Pastoral Committee Chair, Mr Lachlan (Locky) McTaggart of Bidgemia, and Mr Don Hammarquist of Mt Augustus were recognised for their service to local government to the Upper Gascoyne, and Mr Robin Scott of Erinair Pastoral near Esperance was recognised for his service to the community of Coomalbidgup.

PGA President Tony Seabrook congratulated each of the recipients, saying the award was a clear recognition of the years of service and dedication given by Mr McTaggart, Mr Hammarquist, and Mr Scott.

“This is a tremendous recognition for the outstanding contributions Locky, Don and Robin have made over the years, not only to their regional communities but to Western Australia as well, and on behalf of the Executive and members of the PGA, I offer each of them my warmest congratulations on receiving this national honour,” Mr Seabrook said.
